Dear Friends
We are preparing for the fifth-annual Elijah School of Performance, which will be held in Nashville, TN at Grace Church of the Nazarene from Wednesday, June 20 through Saturday, June 23, 2011. Those who have attended in years prior will see some new features during the event, but the centerpiece will remain Allison's extraordinary teaching and performance & communication instruction. The price will remain at $545 per person. This includes four days of instruction and breakfast and lunch each day. Following last year's success, this year's conference will include the opportunity to perform in front of a panel of industry professionals and receive detailed, written critiques from each panelist. This feedback is invaluable for everyone who desires to improve their craft. If you have an active Christian music ministry or feel the Lord's leading in that direction, the Elijah School of Performance is for you, or if you know someone who fits that description, please forward this email to them. The mission statement of the School is to create ministers out of performers. We ask for your prayers as we continue planning for the conference and we thank you for your support.
One of the things we have learned from the exit questionnaires from past conferences is that people have had a hard time navigating the website. So, we are excited to announce an all-new website at www.elijahconference.com. You will find several new features that will make it more informative and enjoyable. One of the things Allison's husband, Brian, is most excited about is the new video of Allison. Click here to see the many faces of Allison at Elijah! On that same page, you will find new photo albums from previous year's conferences. The Location page includes a list of hotels near Grace Nazarene as well as a map of the area. We hope this new site is an improvement and will be a pleasure to use.
We are excited to include a page on the new website that spotlights happenings in the musical careers of our alumni. The first two featured are Ben Waites (2008, 2009, 2011) and Lindsey Graham (2008 and 2009.) Click here to read about these two great artists! If you are an alumni of the Elijah School of Performance and have professional news you'd like to share with everyone, send it to us at brian@allisonspeer.com and we'll put it on the site. Be sure to include pertinent info such as who, what, when and where, and a photo if possible. Thanks for helping us keep the news page current!
