Dear Friends
After nine months of hard work, ups and downs, and many prayers, we are excited to announce that "The Holy Hills" is finally completed! We finished production on Thursday, August 5, 2010, and the project went into manufacturing the next day. We are now taking orders for the CD on Allison's website and expect to begin shipping August 20, 2010. This project is also available for download on iTunes. Allison says, "I think I am more excited about this project than any I have ever done. Producing it myself gave me a freedom I've never felt before and I think the end result reflects that. My prayer is that the songs will bless His Church and His People." You can listen to clips of the songs by clicking here. As a way to thank you for your prayers and support throughout this process, we are offering free shipping when you order "The Holy Hills." Be sure to email us and let us know how you like it!
Photo: Allison, Glenn Meadows, Brian, Steve Allen Allison and Brian were blessed to have the privilege of working with Nashville music industry royalty, mastering engineer Glenn Meadows of Mayfield Mastering. Glenn's album credits read as a who's who of popular music. He has worked on projects for artists such as Dan Fogleberg, England Dan and John Ford Coley, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Amy Grant, Andraé Crouch, and hundreds of other artists. Glenn mastered the last Elvis Presley record before Elvis' death in 1977. Now, you are probably asking yourself, "What exactly is mastering?" Mastering is the final step in the production process to prepare the recording for manufacturing. Mastering translates the music from the recording studio to consumer playback systems such as radios, CD players, and MP3 players. This process will ensure that all of the songs are the same volume, have the same equalization, and have the proper spacing between them on the CD. An analogy for mastering is that of a pair of polished shoes. Unpolished shoes will do the job, protecting your feet, but a good shine makes sure that you put your best foot forward (no pun intended) and will make the very best impression possible. Mastering puts the final shine on the music. Thank you to Mr. Meadows for taking the time to work on Allison's new project, "The Holy Hills." You made it sound spectacular!
The following is a list of Allison's August and September 2010 concert and conference dates. As always, while we realize that you might not be able to come to a church service or concert, we ask for your prayers for us while we're on the road. Thank you in advance and we pray God's blessings on you and your family. August 2010
