Dear Friends It's been quite a few months since we have sent out a newsletter and we have some exciting news to share with you! Thank you for your continued prayers and support for this ministry. We couldn't do this without you! ![]()
On December 29 and 30, 2009, Allison and Brian met with an exceptional group of musicians and technicians at the Soundshop Studio in Nashville to record Allison's 12th CD, "The Holy Hills." Allison produced the project herself, and the results were amazing. Allison says, "This is the best recording I've ever been a part of. I'm thrilled with the wonderful songs we've selected and the musicians went above and beyond to make the material extraordinary. This recording is anointed by the Holy Spirit to minister to the People of God." The participants were Johnny Minick on keyboards, Aaron Minick on drums, Gary Lunn on bass guitar, Kelly Back on acoustic guitar, Jeremy Medkiff on electric guitar, Eric Darken on percussion, Steve Allen as engineer, and Ben Terry as second engineer. Allison was producer and Brian was executive producer. Milton Smith is handling the orchestration duties. We documented both days with photos and videos. Click here to see the photo gallery on Allison's website. Two videos are available on YouTube. Click here to watch part one, and here to watch part two. We hope you enjoy sharing this special and important time with us. This photo is of Allison and engineer Steve Allen.
Allison and Brian will tour Scotland this month with four dates in the Glasgow and Fraserburgh areas. In addition to performing, they will slip in some sightseeing in the northern highlands and Inverness areas. "We will report back and tell you if we saw the Loch Ness Monster while in Inverness," says Allison. "Please pray for us while we travel that God will bless our efforts and minister through us to the people of Scotland." The photo is of Allison below the Edinburgh Castle in Edinburgh Scotland.
We are excited to announce that dates have been set for the next conference. The Elijah Conference will be held Wednesday, August 18 through Saturday, August 21, 2010. If you have always wanted your performance to be critiqued and to learn the professional's "secrets of performing," please make plans to attend this summer, or if you know anyone wanting to be a better communicator and minister of the Gospel, please forward this email to them. You can find photos from the 2008 and 2009 Elijah Conferences by clicking here. Ben Speer stopped by the 2009 conference and shares the microphone with Allison.
"There are so many great singers out there
who just need someone who cares enough to
watch them and assess what they do, then tell
them how to make it better. We have put
together a team of professional musicians
with years of experience and they are all
willing to give those secrets away to others
who minister and sing for Christ. We are all
on the same team. The veterans on the team
are now gathering at Elijah Conference to
share their hard-earned experience and
techniques."
Allison now has a Facebook page! A big thanks go to our dear friend, Bobbi Johnston, (in photo with Allison) who keeps our Facebook presence current and fresh. Her tireless work allows us to use this great tool to keep in touch with even more friends.
Following is a list of Allison's February 2010 dates. As always, while we realize that you might not be able to come to a church service or concert, we ask for your prayers for us while we're on the road. Thank you in advance and we pray God's blessings on you and your family.
