Elijah Conference

Greetings!
The 2009 Elijah Conference is just a few short weeks away!  We are excited about training a new group of Gospel musicians to be the best communicators and performers they can be.

A Live Performance Workshop
Allison's passion is to see great musicians fulfill their calling by learning to be effective communicators of the gospel.  Her teaching is the focal point of the curriculum, which includes training students in areas such as performance, writing segues, the use of storytelling and humor, responsible and effective use of the Bible and creating a  ministry team.

Industry leaders such as Johnny Minick, Mike Allen, Rebecca Irwin,  Nancy Morgan, Ben Speer and many others will conduct seminars.  The variety of subjects will include marketing your ministry, operating a non-profit ministry, booking tips, independent record production and sound  technology.

Pastor Ken Dove of Grace Church of the Nazarene has graciously invited us to use their wonderful facility for our conference.  The church is located just off Briley Parkway across from Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills Mall and the world- famous Grand Old Opryhouse.

Be sure to register by August 31, 2009, and take advantage of the early registration discount. Group discounts are available for two or more.

Train A Minister, Give A Scholarship
There is an old saying, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime."  We have adopted that as our philosophy.  Our goal is to teach ministers of  the Gospel to create spiritually strong and financially viable ministries that will win lost souls to Christ and encourage and uplift  the church.

We are in need of contributions to our scholarship fund that will help pay for those who have ministries that we feel would benefit from the Elijah Conference.  The Elijah Conference is a division of Allison Durham Speer Ministries, a 501(c)(3) corporation, so your contributions are tax-deductable.  You can give online or by mailing a check to Elijah Conference, Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 41246, Nashville, TN  37204-1246.

Making an investment in a minister of the Gospel is a great way to fulfill Christ's commandment in Matthew 28:19 to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations."  Thank you in advance for your willingness to help.
