As most of you know, Brian's father, the late Brock Speer, was a singer all of his life and traveled with his family's group, the Speer Family. What you might not know is that he and his younger brother, Ben Speer, were accomplished studio singers and musicians, performing on countless recording sessions in the 1950s and 1960s.

One very special session consisted of singing background vocals for Elvis Presley on the hit single, "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You." Our dear friend Allison Lynn recently interviewed Ben and wrote a wonderful article about the session. Thanks, Allison, for a great interview. Click here to read about this piece of history.

Plans are progressing nicely for the Elijah Conference, which will take place Wednesday October 15 through Saturday October 18, 2008 in Smyrna, TN.
