Allison and Kirk Talley won Favorite Duet of the Year at The Southern Gospel Music Awards, presented on Saturday, October 28, 2006, in Winston-Salem, NC. The winning song, "Oh Lamb Of Calvary," was written by Kirk and is available on his project, "Life At The River." You can order that project from Kirk on his website, www.kirk-talley.com. We have added two new photo galleries to the website. The first one is a pictoral history of The Speer Family. As most of you know, Allison's husband Brian is the son of Faye and the late Brock Speer. You will see pictures from the early beginnings of the Singing Speer Family thorugh the many changes to the group and even Brian's "big hair" days!

The second gallery is a group of photos taken in Peoria, IL on August 25, 2006. Our good friend, Shawn Degenhart, put together a wonderful tribute to The Speer Family that featured Brian's uncle, Ben Speer, and Allison. Special thanks to Rutledge Photography for the great pictures.

Allison sang in Schroon Lake, NY, at the Word Of Life conference center for their Senior Saints retreat. Dr. Don Hubbard spoke and was a great inspiration. Word Of Life is a beautiful place on Schroon Lake, and their facilities are amazing. Allison and Brian took a side trip up to Lake Placid, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. Last month, The Tennessee Association of Realtors invited Allison to sing at their annual convention held in San Antonio, TX. She performed at their Inspirational Breakfast held on Friday morning, October 2, 2006. Pictured are Linda Woods, Administrative V.P. TAR, Allison, and Dwight Richardson, Event Coordinator. Our good friends Carlene and Jerry Sowards were there and we had a great time visiting with them as well.
