Greetings!
It is with great joy that we announce that Allison's new project "This Old House" is finished! With twelve great songs, it represents many months of hard work and is truly a labor of love. Allison says, "I am more excited about delivering this music to audiences than any recording I have done to date." This project features two songs from Brian's family, The Speer Family. "The Dearest Friend" was written by his grandfather, G.T. "Dad" Speer, and "I'm Bound For That City" was Dad's signature song. "This Ole House" harkens back to the arrangement made famous by Rosemary Clooney and even features a howl by Allison's dog, Ellie. Squire Parson's classic "Sweet Beulah Land" is on the project as well as the old standard, "Life's Railway To Heaven." A Dottie Rambo song, "Tears Will Never Stain The Streets Of That City" is featured as well. With "This Old House," Allison presents the classics of old, which contain a message that is timeless. "Music is salt and light to the earth if it contains the message of redemption that God has for mankind. This recording is packed with that wonderful, transforming Gospel." Audio clips are available online and for the months of September and October, "This Old House" is being offered through our online store with free shipping. Our prayer is that this project will be as much of a blessing to the listener as it was to us during its creation.
We are also pleased to announce a new look and feel to Allison's website, www.allisondurhamspeer.com. This design change has been in the works for several months and is the great work of our web designer, Chelsea Gary. We thank her for her hard work and hope you enjoy it!
