Dear Friends
Here is a list of Allison's July 2006 dates. As always, while we realize that you might not be able to come to a church service or concert, we ask for your prayers for us while we're on the road sharing the gospel in song. Thank you in advance and we pray God's blessings on you and your family.
Allison recently sang at the graduation ceremony for the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs. Our dear friend, Dr. Hiram Sanders, President of the College, retired this year and asked Allison to be a part of his final graduation event. In addition to the actual graduation ceremony, Allison performed at their alumni banquet and in a joint concert with the college chior, led by Dr. Denny Hage. The photo above is of Dr. Sanders, Dr. Nina Gunter, General Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene, and Allison.
Coming home to her roots, Allison sang at her home church, Parksville Baptist Church in Parksville, KY, to help dedicate a new Family Life Center. Aunts, uncles, cousins, old friends, Sunday School teachers, and Allison's first pastor Arnold Moon came out to welcome her home. Jack Vaught is the music teacher that Allison credits with getting her started in music. He taught her chior from elementary school until she graduated from high school, and pushed her from the alto section to the sporano section. In this picture, Mr. Vaught assembled an impromptu choral group made up of former students, including Allison for an a cappella rendition of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus."
Allison is making good progress on her new project. It has been titled, "This Old House," and the cover art concept has been decided on. All of the tracks have been completed and Allison is currently in the process of recording her lead vocals. We've moved the tentative release date of to mid- August and willl begin taking advance orders soon. Remember, if you would like to help financially with this project, you can give online with a credit card or send a check in the mail. All contributions are tax deductible. Your support will be greatly appreciated. Go to the photo page to see pictures from the tracking sessions.
Please pray for Allison's mother and step-father, Sue and Jim from Kentucky. They are going through a tough time physically and need a touch from God. Allison is traveling up there from Nashville from time to time to help as our schedule allows. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for them.
