To keep Downtown Durango viable, an evolving group of citizens has for decades championed construction of a conference and events center, and met with repeated blocks from city government. If all goes well with the latest effort, however, in 2010 Durango will be christening a truly unique hotel-conference center complex as only Durango can.

Do you wanna dance?
Reality television programs including "So, You Think You Can Dance" and "Dancing With the Stars" have boosted the hype surrounding dance programs and classes around Durango keeping more locals on their toes.
 
Professional dance instructor Leslie Carlson offers lessons in ballroom, salsa and the swing, just to name a few. Private or group lessons are available.
 
You can drop in on her classes offered Wednesday nights at the Wild Horse Saloon ($8 per person) or free Salsa classes Thursday nights at Moe's Starlight Lounge.

Fashion Week Durango will be the first festival of it's kind to be held in Durango. It will be a week filled with Glitz like you have never envisioned before. Galas, Art Shows, Wine Tastings & Fashion Shows. 
 
This will be an annual event with city-wide participation.

All Proceeds from all events will be donated to The Yes Ma'am Campaign.

Durango Parade of Homes
2008 Durango Area Parade of Homes to showcase the craftsmanship of the area home builders and related businesses. This is an opportunity to view homes not generally open to the public. Entries in varying price categories from entry level to multi-million dollar estates will be on the tour.
 
September 25 -26, and October 2 -3, 2004.
9am - 4 pm, Saturday and Sunday only.
$5.00 Adults (16 years & older)- Tour all 20 Homes.
