Beth Gatewood, CMM
|
Beth Gatewood, the Assistant Administrator of Printing, Mailing and Document Services at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, has achieved the distinction of Certified Mail Manager (CMM) from the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association. To attain the CMM credential, candidates must successfully demonstrate a high level of professionalism and mail expertise, as well as pass a comprehensive examination.
Ms. Gatewood, who has been with the University of Oklahoma for over 26 years and overseeing the mail center for the past 11 years, explains why she chose to take the extra step and pursue the CMM credential. "More companies are combining printing and mailing and IPMA's dedication to the mailing industry inspired me to pursue certification. Becoming certified reemphasizes your dedication to your organization and the industry, and adds a level of credibility to your employer, colleagues and clients."
If you are interested in gaining certification, visit IPMA's Certification website at www.ipma.org. Both the CGCM and CMM exams will be given June 24 at IPMA's Educational Conference in Kansas City. (An Exam Preparation Session will be offered on June 23.) You can also arrange to take the exam on-line at a testing center near you.
