Shops Celebrated In-Plant Awareness Week in a Big Way
February 27 - March 2

MTD Products Celebrated with a Leaping Lizards Open House, Great Raffle Prizes, Discounts and Refreshments!

MTD Print Shop 1The in-plant team at MTD products in Cleveland, Ohio, creatively celebrated

In-Plant Awareness Week with an Open House on Leap Day , February 29, that incorporated a Leaping Lizards theme. "One of my co-workers made a lizard tablecloth for the refreshments and for favors we had sticky lizard toys," shares Manager Rita Puljer." There was also a red carpet leading to the

entrance of our shop." Refreshments and raffle drawings were used as enticements. Prizes included 2 airline tickets to anywhere in the Continental U.S. (The travel department is in their group), and discount coupons for 29% off printing. Personal printing was also promoted and generated a lot of interest. "About 150 people attended and viewed samples of our work. Since we are in a different building than the majority of employees, it was a pretty good turnout for a rainy day. My team helped in doing a great job of putting this event on!"

The State of Colorado's Department of Integrated Document Services(IDS)conducted VIP tours for both vendors and customers throughout the week. On Tuesday they gathered for the group photo above. On Wednesday pizza and sub sandwiches were ordered for the in-plant staff to enjoy with the Division Director. On Friday thank you notes were distributed to all of the staff. Manager Mike Lincoln shares, "It was a great week and I have had many comments from the staff that they really appreciated the week."
City of Bangor, Maine celebrated with an Open House & Treasure Map Promoting In-Plant's Many Capabilities
Bangor, Maine Open House
Bangor, Maine's flier (shown above) was created to promote the in-plant's open house during In-Plant Awareness Week. Walter Ryan, the Print Shop Production Technician for the city, explains, "It is part of a theme we are doing in conjunction with our new catalog." The flier was distributed as a scroll tied with gardening string.  These pieces have intrigued customers who now want to learn more about the in-plant's capabilities. "After so many years, I am still finding people that don't know all we can do so I am glad to put on an open house. It really helps!"
