Peer Pressure Saves Nearly $250,000 & 20 Million Copies

Dan StrodtmanFaced with a dire budget crisis in Illinois, the Valley View School District in Romeoville/Bolingbrook, just minutes from Chicago, was directed to reduce its copying by 30% over two years. By thinking outside the box, Daniel Strodtman, the district's printing director, helped to launch some creative, money saving strategies that included a copy accountability website.

"We tracked the copy usage of over 2,500 employees (print shop and department copiers) and posted it on the website for all to see," he explains. "The program was very successful with an initial direct savings of nearly a quarter of a million dollars and over 20 million copies annually."

Don't Miss this Tuesday's (October 25) Webinar on the Strategic Value of In-House Printing Operations

JHamilton

During this one-hour presentation on October 25, Jim Hamilton, Group Director responsible for InfoTrends' Production Hardware Consulting Services, will be discussing the content of InfoTrends' upcoming new white paper entitled, "The Strategic Value of an In-House Printing Operation: Trends and Best Practices." The combination of research, case studies, and InfoTrends' market insight is intended to provide key executives with an understanding of the intrinsic value that an in-house printing operation can provide in today's changing market.

"This document is written with senior level management in mind," says Hamilton. "Our conclusions and recommendations are focused on those who are assessing their current operation and want to confirm that the strategic value is there for the organization." All attendees will receive a free copy of the white paper when it becomes available.

This session is sponsored by Xerox.
