Are In-Plants Seeing a Rise in Volume?
The economy is showing signs of recovery as stocks shoot upward, unemployment dips and Americans start opening their wallets again. But are in in-plants seeing any growth in volume? Here's what some in-plant managers said.
- Based on a comparison of our 2009 and 2010 volumes, our color is up 20% but our b/w is down by 30%. So much is being done in color. The mindset is why print in black and white when color is so cheap.
- We are very busy now and have been for 6+ months. Part of this can be attributed to receiving first right of refusal and our strong undergraduate enrollment. A lot of our customers are doing more on the Web so the university's overall printing is going down. But since we are getting a larger percentage of the work, we're busier than ever.
