run the Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, April 28th, but the training program lines up perfectly with many other spring half marathons!
Be sure to join us this Sunday, February 5th at 9:00am at Fleet Feet Sports - Old Town to learn more about the program, the training locations, the race, the travel accommodations and all the other details that set the Chicago Endurance Sports Spring Half Marathon Training Program apart. Registration will be available on-site before and after the kickoff.

New Shoe February
February is quite a big month in the running community... the Chicago Marathon registration opened today, February 1st at noon, and Fleet Feet Sports - Chicago will see about 14 different footwear introductions and updates arrive in store! Perfect timing as most of us will plan and confirm our race calendar for 2012 within the next few weeks.
Our first featured brand is Saucony, debuting two updates this month, Progrid Mirage 2 and PowerGrid Hurricane 14.

PROGRID MIRAGE 2 (Mens | Womens)
Saucony built the Progrid Mirage based on the success of the Progrid Kinvara and added in guidance features for those runners that are looking for a minimal fit and feel but still need support through their gait cycle. Saucony focused on the upper of the shoe in this second version and added more welded seams for better comfort and fit across the top of the foot. Also, check out the hot new colors with the blue/red for Men and blue/pink for Women!
POWERGRID HURRICANE 14 (Mens | Womens)
Our high cushioned, stability model from Saucony, Powergrid Hurricane 14, also arrived last week. Coming in an ounce lighter and featuring the new 8mm heel to toe drop that Saucony is introducing into their key footwear models. This change promotes a more efficient, shock absorbing stride. Lastly, Saucony introduced a new midsole component called Powergrid, a new lighter weight cousin of Saucony's tried and true Progrid cushioning giving the shoe its plush feel.
