FARGO, N.D. - MacDella's LLC has signed a
large franchise-development agreement with
Sandella's Flatbread to bring more than 200
restaurants to nine Midwest states.
MacDella's, a private, self-advised hospitality
investment group, expects to open its first
company-owned location this summer in
Fargo, N.D. Additional units will be franchised.
Other states include Iowa, Wisconsin,
Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska,
Montana, Wyoming and Idaho.

Perzan previously worked for three years with
Fransmart, as both a marketing manager and
a director of development.

According to Darren Tristano, vice president
of the Chicago-based research firm,
Technomic, sales at the top bakery-cafes in
the country have been soaring, and show no
signs of slowing down. 'The bakery-cafe
industry grew at a rate of 13.3 percent in
2006 compared to the entire foodservice
industry, which grew at a rate of 6 percent,'
Tristano says.
