 THE PERFECT STORM FOR FRAUD

8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Whalen & Company, CPAs
& Consultants
250 W. Old Wilson Bridge Rd.
Suite 300
Worthington, OH 43085
If you think workplace fraud won't occur in
your business, then you need to think again.
Fraud in the workplace is a growing concern for business owners and managers.
The intense financial pressure created by the current economy leaves an environment ripe for fraud to grow.
In addition, layoffs at many organizations have left holes in the company's internal-control systems leaving them even more vulnerable to fraud, waste and abuse.
According to figures compiled by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the typical organization loses 5 percent of its annual revenue to fraud.
How vulnerable is your organization?
Workshop presenter Chrissie Powers of P.D. Eye Forensics, LLC will discuss
methods that you can put in place to deter fraud within your organization. Her presentation will cover:
- What to do when you suspect fraud.
- Who to call and how to manage the employee.
- What to do to deter fraud and how to minimize your company's exposure to fraud.
