Partner Richard Crabtree joined approximately 280 owner/operators, regional office staff, service providers and other individual and corporate supporters of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio at the Sporting Clays Tournament on October 7-8. The successful event, held at Mad River Sportsman's Club, raised sufficient funds to provide more than 1,100 nights at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House for seriously ill children and their families.
The house serves nearly 3,000 children and their families each year, providing 1,664,400 hours of service for moms, dads, brothers, sisters and other family members of children being treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital and other hospitals in central Ohio so they can be close to the children they love.

McDONALD'S MOMENTS

In 1963, McDonald's introduced a clown who loved to play and be silly. Willard Scott, a local radio personality who had played Bozo the Clown on a Washington D.C. television station, appeared in three separate television spots featuring the character. Ronald McDonald quickly became one of the most recognized children's figures in the world.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
|
|---|
|
"There can be no greater motivator for an organization's leadership than to spend quality time closest to the customers and staff members who interact with them everyday. The rewards are threefold. Executives benefit because they learn on the frontline. Staff members benefit by learning to exemplify behaviors. And the customers benefit because their overall experience usually improves by the leadership's presence."
