Sud Sound System in concert Friday, December 03, 2010 at Monostery on Church
Sud Sound System is the name of a collective of singers, djs and producers that have started promoting reggae music since 1991. From a small region of south Italy (Apulia) they built the foundation of italian dance hall style.
Today after 20 years, Sud Sound System have become reggae superstar from whom all the new generations of toasters and djs take inspiration.
Dancehall style and italian Patwa made them the original ting of a nation and champions of this genre. Their lifestyle and the music style production caught many artists from Jamaica to collaborate with SSS. After this, the band decided to issue a collections of tracks worldwide and they are proud to announce that on 22nd of November Planet Company will issue, on digital release, the 20th anniversary album titled 'Italiano-Jamaicano' featured by some of the most representative artists of the reggae scene as: Luciano, T.O.K., Morgan Heritage, Daddy Freddy, General Levy, Esco and Bling Dawg.
For the first time in Australia, Sud Sound System will perform for 3 showcases as follow:

Shakuhachi Performance Concert Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Melba Hall
Hear the three winning compositions from Hong Kong, Greece and Iran performed by Australian shakuhachi master, Andrew MacGregor and exciting new talent from Japan, Yosuke Irie.
Melbourne based shakuhachi player Andrew MacGregor is passionate about introducing shakuhachi music in Australia. For more than two decades, he has taught and performed shakuhachi, a simple bamboo flute.
Andrew, in his last ever performance, will be joined by Yosuke Irie from Japan, Amir Farid on piano, Caerwen Martin cello, Antony Field guitar and Aaron Barnden violin.
There will also be music from Japan, Italy, Malaysia, Czechoslovakia and Australia.
