The Wyanoke Group donated $9,000 to Center For Family Services on December 22nd as part of the company's Wyanoke Children's Support Fund.   The money was raised over the past year through individual employee donations and incentive programs.  The fund helps CFS provide essential items and enriching activities to children and families in need in southern New Jersey.

Since the time of its inception in 2004, the Wyanoke Children's Support Fund has collected more than $75,000 and continues to grow.  Thanks to the generous donations of the employees at Wyanoke, the fund has provided Phillies Tickets for a night out for shelter teens, a crib and mattress for a new mom and her baby, new computers and accessories for a computer lab, and much more.  Thank you to all the employees at Wyanoke Group for making it possible for children and families to have brighter, safer futures.

Community Giving Connection

thank you On November 13th, over 140 children and parents joined CFS at Maggiano's Little Italy at the Cherry Hill Mall for Breakfast with Santa. Families enjoyed a breakfast buffet, characticture artist, face painter, live music and a guest appearance from Santa and Mrs. Claus! Reading Blitz Brings Day of One on One Learning to Lanning Square Elementary-Broadway Campus

As part of the Cooper Lanning Promise Neighborhood Initiative's commitment to the children of the neighborhood, a Reading Blitz was conducted at the Lanning Square Elementary School, Broadway Campus on December 16, 2010. A Reading Blitz is a day of one-on-one reading at an area school, based on the "100 Book Challenge" model by the American Reading Company. The CLPN reading blitz 1volunteers acted as reading coaches and worked to encourage and engage-instilling the value and joy of reading in the students. Plans are underway for continuing the Reading Blitz every month, utilizing community members in order to demonstrate to students in Camden that adults are interested and invested in their success. Special thanks to the volunteers who have already participated! Be sure to check out photos from December's event on the CFS Facebook page.
