OCD Chicago is teaming up with the Tourette Syndrome Camping Organization to host an educational and fun Family Conference in Wilmette, IL, early this spring.

Place: Wilmette Park District Community Recreation Center
Cost: $6/person (includes lunch)
Presentations for parents will cover the relationship between OCD and tics/Tourette Syndrome, parent/teacher strategies, treatment recommendations and executive functioning. The workshop will include practical, take-home intervention and strategy ideas, as well as examples of charts, lists and incentives that can be used at home and school.
Meanwhile the staff of the Tourette Syndrome Camping Organization will provide a day of camp programs for children with TS/OCD and their siblings.

The OCD-Tourette Connection

Substantial evidence shows that OCD and Tourette Syndrome (TS) overlap in ways that suggest a close relationship between the two disorders. One strong clue is the high percentage of people who experience both OCD and TS symptoms.
