Identity Theft Warning
Recently you may have found a message in your in box looking like it is from  someone you know who is traveling and was mugged and lost all their identification and money. The email then asks you to reply to the email and send money. It is a very realistic, believable email which can trick people into responding. Please ignore and immediately delete any such email you receive. It is a form of identity theft.

Update from Haiti

All Habitat affiliates received a letter in mid-January from the National Director of Habitat for Humanity Haiti, Claude Jeudy updating us on the progress in Haiti and thanking everyone for their support in the 2 years since the earthquake. More needs to be done, and they are asking for your continued help. Click here to visit our web site and read Claude's letter.

Thanks and kudos!
To Kathy Herrick, who not only has been our amazing secretary for our Orleans Project Team but headed up our Repairs Task Group, a group reviewing our Repairs Ministry efforts. The Task Group started meeting in July of 2011. Kathy put the task group's findings in a comprehensive presentation to the HHCC Board of Directors on January 17. Now that her work on the this project has ended we are working hard on finding Kathy her next challenge! Kathy was the recipient of our Cat Herder Voly Award at our Annual Volunteer Appreciation event in December.

To Carol Heath who volunteered to become our ReStore Donations Pick Up Coordinator and help Jim Augat (our truck driver) know where to go and when. It will be a big help to our ReStore staff and our generous donors! Thanks Carol!
