Brookfield's Spring Break Vacation Camp will run from April 11th-15th. Brookfield students can enjoy art, science, cooking and more in the standard camp at TLC and students in 2nd through 8th grade can sign up for Lego Camp at Main Campus. There are only a few slots remaining for Lego Camp. Call the office for more information.
Earth Day Celebrations and planting of flowers will happen Wednesday, April 20th and Thursday, April 21st at TLC and Friday, April 22nd on Main Campus. More details on our Earth Day celebrations will come home after Spring Break.

If you have any shots of Jog or Trike-A-Thon, the Winter Concert, the Science Event, or even everyday life at Brookfield, please send them to Mrs. LaBella for the yearbook! The Annual Crab Feed for Sierra Nevada Community Sailing is scheduled for Saturday, April 30th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM here at Brookfield School. You can purchase tickets in the Main Campus office!
Summer Camp is right around the corner! We are offering 10 weeks on Main Campus and 9 weeks at TLC. Sign up in April for the $75 enrollment fee to be applied to summer tuition!
During our unpredictable Spring season, we ask that students dress in layers and keep an eye on the ever-changing weather forecast. On warmer days, please note that girls should still wear shirts under their shifts/jumpers.

The Science Invent/Event on Wednesday, March 30th was a success! There were so many inventions we would love to see in stores and we learned so much from our science experts. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Trevino for all his hard work organizing the event! Thank you to the parents who contributed items to the Bake Sale and to the Leadership Council for sponsoring the sale!
Achievement Testing is taking place this week (unless otherwise notified by your teacher). Thank you for rescheduling your child's morning appointments and having your child well rested and well fed. Testing starts promptly at the beginning of the school day. Late students must come directly to the office until the next section of testing begins, at which time he/she will be escorted to the classroom. Friday tests are scheduled this year. Please call the office in advance if you have a conflict. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
To congratulate your child on a job well done during the Achievement Testing, you can purchase a Smencil Bouquet for $5.00. Your child will receive an assortment of five scents, wrapped in a bow, and presented with a personalized card from you! Please see Mrs. Fyda in the library to order!
Mr. Meitz and Mr. Trevino are organizing a Tie-Dye fundraiser to raise money for science supplies and our new dodge ball court. Please donate WHITE items for the students to tie-dye, such as T-shirts in any size, towels, or aprons by Friday, April 22nd. Items can be donated to the front office or you can donate money to purchase items. The items will be sold at Mother's Day Tea on Friday, May 6th. Thank you for your support!

Are you looking for some Friday fun now that Mount Rose Lessons are over? We offer two fun-filled Chinese classes! Chinese Abacus meets from 1:30 - 2:15 PM and Standard Chinese meets from 2:15 - 3:00 PM.
Mr. Mark of Energetics is looking for more students to sign up for Tennis to bring his classes back to Main Campus! Tennis would meet on Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:30 PM. Stop by the office if you are interested!
Our all-school themes for the month of April are Spring has Sprung, Planting Seeds, Gardening, Earth Day, Baby Animals, and Bugs and Butterflies. Our newest TLC critters will hatch when we return from Spring Break!!

Help us celebrate Mother Earth with the unveiling of our new Interactive Garden & Play Space at Main Campus!
We would love your help with the finishing touches for our garden. Each family can purchase a colorful metal flower, butterfly, dragonfly, birdhouse, or game. Your family name will be placed on the item and your child will be able to place it in our garden on Earth Day, Friday, April 22nd. If you are interested in purchasing an item, please complete the Earth Day form that went home last week and return the form and payment to the classroom collection envelope by this Friday, April 8th.
Your family legacy will help create a natural and wholesome setting for our children and all Brookfield families for years to come!!
You can view a diagram of our Interactive Garden and Play Space in the Main Campus office! We invite your questions and comments regarding the Interactive Garden. Look in the Main Campus office to share your thoughts. The PTA will address them during the Assembly. There are also samples of the garden accents in the office!
Donations for annuals/perennials/herbs/veggies or "Bring Your Own Plant" will still be part of the celebration. Thank you for all of your continued support. You make Brookfield the best it can be for our children!
