Get eReading, Step by Step
If you love the idea of getting ebooks from the library, but haven't even taken your new ereader out of the package yet, we've got the help you're looking for. Forget lengthy written instructions, instead try watching a quick step by step video. Whether you have a Nook, an iPhone, a Kindle, Kobo Reader or something else, there are videos are designed specifically for each device. Watch one or all in the series. You'll see how to browse, check out, and download from our digital library, and have you enjoying your favorite titles in no time. Want to know more about eBooks? Overdrive provides a comprehensive help center including articles covering eBook basics, such as how to get started, device use, and troubleshooting. Check it out! |
Parenting 101
Have you checked out our parenting section in the hallway by the children's room recently? Don't be fooled by the location. While there's your classic
What'll I do with the baby-oh? and Help! there's a toddler in the house!, there's also many resources on parenting through the tween and teen years, such as Have a new teenager by Friday, and Healthy eating, healthy weight for kids and teens. There are some diverse philosophies on parenting, like Mean moms rule (also available as an ebook), and It's ok not to share, as well as some great activity ideas in Naturally fun parties for kids and The book of gardening projects for kids. There's even a special collection of children's picture books that present issues such as celiac disease, divorce, and death. Here's a list of new books, but you also might find some hidden treasures by browsing. And if you're looking for something specific that we don't have, just let us know!
