The Summer Reading Program is coming to an end it is looks as though the children of Amherst will exceed their goal of reading 5000 hours. The final numbers will be tallied after all hours are turned in on Thursday, August 18th.
Library Automation System Upgrade-

Please plan ahead. During our upgrade, circulation services will be limited. Staff will not be able to accept overdue fines or check the status of hold requests. The online catalog will be unavailable, including access to "My Account". For your convenience, no items will be due on that day. Please forgive the interruption.
iPad and Nook eReader Now Available
We are pleased to announce that the library now has an iPad available for public use in the library. Cardholders may borrow the device for two hours at time. The iPad will be circulated on a first come, first served basis. No reservations will be accepted. Please ask at the main circulation desk regarding availability.
In addition to our two eReaders (the Kindle and Sony eReader), the Library has also added a Barnes & Noble Nook. Cardholders may check out the Nook for a week.
The Library has access to over 1,900 eBooks through the NH Downloadable Audiobook Consortium. Cardholders can download eBooks from their home computer by visiting the libray's website and clicking the Downloadable Books link at the top of the page or by accessing the Overdrive App on their eReader or mobile device.
