Greetings!
The summer is a great time to relax with a good book. If you are looking to beat the heat, the library is a great place to cool down. Browse for a new title while you enjoy the air conditioning, or find a comfortable spot in the shade in the garden and nestle in for a great read.

Third Annual BBQ on the Town Green
Join us on Thursday, August 18 from 5:30-7:30 PM on the town green for our 3rd annual community barbecue. Enjoy an evening in the company of other readers. Hot dogs, burgers and drinks will be provided. Simply bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share. Sign up sheets will be located at the library beginning in August.
In addition to food, prizes and fun games, this year's end of summer celebration will feature a family concert by Tom "T-Bone" Stankus. T-Bone is affectionately known to his audiences as "America's musical Pied Piper". He has performed for thousands of people throughout the United States since 1972. Maybe it's the child in him that enables T-Bone to connect so well with his audiences or the fact that he has the energy of a runaway freight train. Whatever the reason, and before his audiences realize it, they are clapping, singing and dancing at T-Bone's shows. This is "full contact" entertainment at it's best!
In the event of rain, we'll grill in the library parking lot and celebrate downstairs in the Johnson Meeting Room. Don't miss this final farewell to summer. It will be an evening that you won't soon forget! |
Mail Art: Postcard Workshop Inspired by The PostSecret mail art project Wednesday, August 3 from 3-5 PM "Mail art is art which uses the postal system as a medium." We will be providing a variety of drawing materials as well as some stamps patterned papers and adhesive.
