Belle, a beautiful mixed-breed dog, will be visiting the Children's Room on Saturday, June 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 Belle just loves to listen to stories, and is hoping that some of you will come and read to her!
Intended for children who are reading independently, especially those who are just starting---Belle is a patient and supportive audience!

We now are pleased to offer the convenience of a self service public fax machine (for outgoing faxes only). It's easy, fast, secure, reliable and affordable to use. Voice instructions from the handset guide you effortlessly through the entire transaction.
The cost per page is $1.50. Payment can be made by credit card or or by purchasing a FAX card at the Main Desk.

The Great Stone Face Reader's Award
On May 6 of this year, the winner of the 2010-2011 Great Stone Face Award was announced. Over 4,600 children from 74 school and town libraries across the state cast their votes for their favorite from a list of 25 chapter books---and the winner was- Murder at Midnight by Avi, a mystery set in medieval Italy.
The books on the Great Stone Face list are selected by children's librarians from around the state, and are intended for children in grades 4-6.
The 2011-2012 list has been published, and copies of the books are already available for borrowing, so come on down to the Children's Room and check 'em out!
