Feb. 8 @ 7PM

A presentation by Donald Cann, park ranger for the Boston Harbor Islands National Park, and John Galluzzo who leads public programming for Massachusetts Audubon in addition to being the author of 20 books on local and national history.

Their book, 'Boston Harbor' covers a fascinating part of Boston, (a part that is also the setting for more than one Dennis Lehane novel.)

Greetings!

As a patron of the Amherst Town Library you warningshould be aware that the Library budget is under serious challenge this year.  The  Library Trustees need those who love the library and the vital services it provides to attend the deliberative session on February 9 and support us as we defend both our budget and our  collaborative relationship with the Board of Selectmen.

Introduction to Astronomy/Skywatch

astromonyFriday, February 11

The New Hampshire Astronomical Society will put on a skywatch at the Library on Friday, February 11th at 5 PM (weather permitting.)  NHAS members will be on hand with their telescopes to show the moon and other astronomical objects.

The skywatch will be preceded by an "Introduction to Astronomy" indoor talk given by Amherst resident and telescope enthusiast, Ed Ting. The talk will start at 4 pm in the Johnson Meeting Room.

The occasion of the skywatch is the donation of a telescope to the library. The telescope will be available for checkout, like a book.
