 Greetings!
In our last email newsletter we asked about your interest in starting a knitting group at the library. Over twenty knitters seem to "cast on" to the idea, so it will only be a "stitch" in time before we are able to "knit" something together. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.
Food for Fines food drive
November 1st - 15th

The Library will collect "food for fines" from November 1st through November 15th.  Please generously donate canned goods, paper products, diapers, cereal, pasta or packaged mixes and your fines will be waived. These items will be taken to SHARE to benefit families in our community.

Help support SHARE and clear all your fines during the library's amnesty week.

Limit one per child, please.

Animals in Winter
Animals in Winter
Thursday, Nov. 11 at 1:00pm

Winter is coming, and we're all doing what we can to get ready-did you ever wonder how the wild animals in New Hampshire are preparing? Come and find out, as the folks (and some real live animals!) from the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center present 'Animals in Winter'.  This 45-minute program for kids ages 5-10 will offer information, fun, and some chances for real-life encounters with New Hampshire wildlife!  We'll discover some of the different ways our animal neighbors respond to the challenges of a New Hampshire winter. Registration is required and will begin two weeks prior to the event.
Remember, the library is a happening place and your library card is your ticket to free books, magazines, music, movies, Internet access, enriching programs and much more!

Sincerely,

Amherst Town Library
