Greetings!
EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! If you still enjoy the feel of good old paper, you will be pleased to know that the library's annual print newsletter will be arriving in your mailbox soon! In it you will find program and story ime listings for the upcoming year and much more. If you just can't wait for the "snail mail", preview it online on our website. |
Find it, Save it!
Do you have a favorite search that you keep doing over and over again in the catalog? Why not let
the catalog do it for you?
It's easy to save the search in your account and then receive an email when new items are available from
any of the GMILCS libraries.
Watch a 90 second video to learn how! Each search you save will include only new items you have not seen
before! |
In Your Own Words...
"The Amherst Town Library is the best treasure in
Amherst. In researching my family's history, I use the library's genealogy and
historical databases frequently. Contrary to popular opinion, everything is
NOT online, and the Reference Department
has worked very hard to find obscure references for me.
Additionally, I spend 6 hours a week commuting
to work, and the library's audio books have been entertaining me for years. With
our library's participation in GMLICS, I have access to many more titles than
the ones in our library. I love the convenience of calling or emailing the
library to place a request, or making a request through the online library
catalog, and just walking in to pick it up soon after. The staff is most
helpful, no matter the need.
Finally, I very much appreciate the free programs
offered for adults, such as the concerts and lectures. Yes, the Amherst Town
Library is a treasure, and all the people staffing it are gems!"
