Greetings!
We hope this newsletter finds you warm and dry after Thursday night's windstorm. The Library was without power on Friday, but, thankfully, service was quickly restored by Saturday morning. If you find yourself looking for a place to heat up, recharge your batteries, or connect with others, please stop by!

New Afternoon Series for Adults
"The Mirror and the Mask" is a two part series
scheduled for Wednesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 17 from 1:00 to 2:30
p.m. at the Library. Using myth,
story, theology, and art history, this two part interdisciplinary program, with
presenter Nancy Baker, explores the ways that human beings try to capture
self-images or mask the essential
self in interactions with others and the world at large. Is it ever possible to see ourselves as
others see us? How does self-reflection define the human condition? For more information or to sign up, please visit the online calendar of events.

We Have Almost Reached Our Goal!
Thanks to the support of the Bean Foundation, community groups and the generosity of more than 100 individual donors, the Trustees of the Amherst Town Library almost completed raising the funds necessary to replace the carpet on the lower floor of the library where the Children's Room is located. Less than $500 is needed to complete fund raising activities. Please considering making a donation today. |
