Ah, the Sweet Sounds of Music!
On
Sunday, November 15 over 150 people came together at the library for the 2009 Boardman Concert. Sponsored by the Trustees of the Library, this
annual concert honors the late Anna Boardman, one of the library's most
generousus benefactors. This year, in a special tribute to the late Tom Head
(library trustee from 1998 - 2006), the concert featured pianist Laura Kennedy and
violinist Joseph Scheer performing the works of Dvorák, Brahms, and Kreisler.
If you just can't get enough music, mark your
calendar for the library's regular music series, Sundays @ 4, that begins on January 10. Blue Grass Brass will kick off our fifth season, Celebrating
Amherst's 250 Years of Music. |
