Honor Those Whom Have Impacted You in 4-H

With many county fairs underway and the Iowa State Fair only 26 days away, it's time to reflect on your 4-H experience. It's also time to think about the people whom have positively impacted you through 4-H.

Many of these great people have been, or will be inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame.Hands

Inductees into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame represent the many people in Iowa who have contributed countless hours to the 4-H program.  They work tirelessly to see that Iowa's youth have a great learning experience in a safe and fun environment. These adults have modeled volunteerism, community service, integrity, and leadership to Iowa's youth.  Their legacy is the young people they have mentored who will in turn support the continuation of a 4-H program that builds Iowa's leaders. These individuals are inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Iowa State Fair on the last Sunday of the State Fair.

The Iowa 4-H Foundation's newly launched website has a Hall of Fame section where people can read inductees' stories, leave comments, or make donations in their honor. Visit the Iowa 4-H Foundation website, and honor those who have made a positive difference for you and/or your family.

Iowa 4-Hers Go Above and Beyond
At the 2011 State 4-H Conference many youth, clubs, counties, and regions were recognized for their supreme leadership and fund raising 4-Hers for 4-Hskills. A longstanding tradition, the 4-Her's for 4-H campaign raised $31,433.91 to help support the 4-H program and Iowa's youth. This challenge was given to counties and 4-H members by the State 4-H Council. This year 83 counties participated in the annual campaign.
