Ladies Day Tournament

This weekend is the annual ladies day tournament, one of the highest participation events for our club and a great way to pre-fish the MA500.  The Captain's meeting is Friday Aug 19 at 7pm and the ladies will be fishing Saturday from 8am - 3pm.  CJ's is lined up to cater dinner on Saturday night and we're expecting over 20 boats in the competition.  Just $100 to get in.  We'll have the usual calcutta's along with a bonus billfish calcutta.  Gather the women in your life and join the party, it's a great way to introduce someone new to the sport or to bring out the competitive side of the women that can school the best of any gender.

Special Kids fish for Fun

The annual ARC special fishing day is on for Wed August 31.  A sign up sheet is in the club to volunteer your time or boat.  This is a great event that puts smiles on a very special group of people, along with all of the volunteers. Contact Rookie for more information at 609-425-7778.

Labor Day Overtnighter

It's a long weekend and a perfect time to spend the night off-shore.  Tuna, squid, maybe a swordfish.  Mark you calendars!

Club Business

We're extremely pleased to say that the club has been granted Tax Exempt non-profit status!  Since our formation 35 years ago the club charter states that we are a non-profit orgranization.  We were also informed that we must have non-profit status for our club liquor license which added some urgency to make it happen.  Thanks to the efforts of many, this long standing objective of the club is fulfilled and it further strenthens the foundation of our organization. 

Membership Tips
The Challenge Cup is only a month away and after a loss in 2010, we must defend the cup.  Please remember that you must fish at least one club tournament to be eligible for this event.

We have Burgees in stock and a new sticker. The burgees last about a season and are at a much lower price of $25, stickers are $5.  Be sure to fly the club colors so we can all keep an eye out for each other.
