Cape May Marlin and Tuna Club
Winter Update2011
Dues - A Friendly Reminder
A big THANK YOU to everyone that's already paid their dues for 2011 and a friendly reminder to those that have not done so yet, to please submit your dues by the February 15 deadline.  Not only will this establish funding for club operations but it saves our team from mailing out follow up reminders.

Club Banquet
We had a great time at the annual Gala again this year and The Grand Hotel went above and beyond as they always do.  We had a record number of door prizes, Eldee presented the fishing awards, the 2010 video made it's debut, and it was a nice night of stories of adventure, drinks and dancing.  For 2011 we're looking at new dates to avoid some of the conflicts with the Christmas Parade and other parties that time of year.  Nothing is finalized yet but it's looking like early to mid November.

2011 - The year ahead
Board Updates - Several positions on the board have new faces this year including the election of Mike Lawrence to role of President.  Mike and his wife Nadya live on the island here in Cape May and can frequently be seen at the club or on their boat Sterling II.  Mike is a licensed Captain, creative director of our annual videos and amateur photographer, when he's not busy heading up IT Infrastructure Services for INGDIRECT.com.  Please join us in welcoming Mike and supporting him in his new role.

We have a number of new ideas on the table for 2011 ranging from significant tournament enhancements to updating our web presence.  Look for updates in the coming months.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to email the club.
Membership Tips
This time of year is quiet in Cape May and the Club can be a great place to get out of the cold.  Warm yourself by the artificial fireplace or over your favorite cocktail.  You may have the place to yourself, or a crowd of fellow members.  Either way, it is your club, make yourself at home.
The Cape May Marlin and Tuna Club
Your membership enables club operations and events and your participation makes this place great.  Once again we're not raising our dues for 2011.  Our membership numbers are very strong but we need to continue to bring new members in so please extend a membership invitation to quality friends and fishermen.

Thank you & Tight Lines,

Take a look upstairs, or on the wall behind the bar and you'll see some great works of art from Rick Bogart.  Rick designed our logo and is helping to make the place look great with these pieces that are available for purchase.
The club needs your involvement
Our club runs almost entirely on volunteer efforts.  You don't need to be local to be on the board or a committee and we can use most every talent you have.  Contact a board member today to see how to get involved.
