Collings Foundation
We are thrilled to announce that we are part
of The Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom 2012 Tour! The Foundation will bring their B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator and P-51 Mustang to Monadnock Aviation on September 19th, 20th, and 21st!
Both aerial tours and ground displays will be available. Scouting and school groups are very welcome to come out and see these beautiful aircraft. I have posters regarding the event at the FBO. Feel free to grab one and hang it where you think people will be interested. |

Keene Air and Auto Show 2012
The Keene Air and Auto Show is next weekend, September 8 and 9. Admission gates are open from 11am to 5pm. Our parking lots will open at 10am. You can see details at KeeneAirshow.com.
If you are planning to fly in for the show, there will be aircraft parking on the East ramp. Runway 32/14 will be closed all weekend. The main runway will be mostly open, but closed during the air show portion of the event. There may be a 15 minute PPR in place also, check NOTAMS. We do expect the area to be somewhat congested, so please plan to arrive early and be patient.
We still need about 20 volunteers to staff the many different aspects of the event. Volunteers will receive lunch, an event staff T-shirt, free admission, and the satisfaction of being part of a terrific community event!
We are seeking aircraft for static display. They don't have to be fancy. Even basic aircraft look cool to a kid! If you are willing to sit near your plane and allow kids to sit in it, even better! Static display aircraft will need to be in place by 9am and remain on display through the end of the day. Please let me know if you are interested.
Finally, there is still room for classic, dragster, custom, and other cool cars in the auto show. The cars should arrive by 9am and be here all day. There is no admission fee for car and driver. You can contact me for additional details. |
