Barbeque Saturday
Please come out for our barbeque at noon on Saturday. There will be lots of food and, if weather cooperates, airplanes too. The Northeastern Sonex builders are holding their 3rd Annual Sonex Fly-in at Keene and will join us for lunch.
We are changing the barbeque schedule for September. Due to the impending marriage of CFII Jim Daris on September 17th, we will hold the barbeque on September 10th. |

Wings of Freedom
We are pleased to host the Collings Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour this fall. The B-17, B-24, and P-51 will grace the skies over Keene on September 28, 29, and 30! Both aerial tours and ground displays will be available. Scouting and school groups are very welcome to come out and see these beautiful aircraft.
We have a limited number of seats on the bombers which we have decided to offer to World War II vets. Please send me an email if you are, or know, a veteran from that era who would like to take a flight into history. |

Congratulations MacKenzie
Congratulations to MacKenzie Campbell who did a stand up job on his written private pilot exam. Mac is in the final stages of his training with CFII Rick Bendel in N5136C, our Cessna 172. His practical exam is just around the corner! |

Chamber After Hours
We hosted the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce members for an After Hours gathering this week. Over 100 people turned out to eat, socialize, look at airplanes, and fly the simulator. Thank you to all who placed your aircraft on static display and helped us to make this evening a success.

Redbird Is Here
Device (AATD). That means you can log hours. It features wrap-around visuals, realistic flight controls, and interchangeable cockpits.
The Redbird is a terrific tool to maintain or regain instrument currency, practice crosswind landings, and fine tune your skills with one of our instructors. The instructor can control most aspects of your flight such as equipment failures, weather, and other simulated emergency situations. We can also quickly reposition the "aircraft" to the VOR or other locations making the simulator a very efficient way to train. Click here to see what Master Certified Flight Instructor Doug Stewart has to say about simulator training.
The Redbird features a great visual display. If you want to practice maneuvers such as turns around a point, circling approaches or even basic pattern work, one forward looking screen is just not good enough. The Redbird LD is equipped with six monitors dedicated only to external views. This high-quality, wrap-around visual system helps to sell the sensation of flight and enhances training at all levels.
The simulator is now available for booking on Monadnock Aviation's online scheduler. Please contact me for a username. We can schedule a demonstration flight and get started today! |
