What Is In Your Wallet?
Do you still have a paper pilot certificate? If so, it is time to update. 14 CFR 61.19(h) indicates the holder of the paper pilot certificate may not exercise privileges of that certificate after March 31, 2010. You can obtain a new plastic license from the FAA. |
February 16 - Are you Covered? Doug Tibbs, from NationAir, will deliver a lively presentation on various aviation insurance issues. They will include tips on how aircraft owners can lower their renewal premiums, fact and fiction regarding renter's insurance, and how an FBO's insurance covers you and how it does not. We will also save time to answer your specific questions. I promise that Doug will NOT try to sell you insurance! His goal is to unravel the complexities of an important and ubiquitous aviation product.
Doug is a fantastic speaker. He is a former corporate pilot and has been an aviation insurance broker for 8 years. Doug runs the largest aviation insurance office in the northeast for one of the largest aviation insurance specialists in the country. He is also a CFI/CFII.
March 16, April 20- I am still confirming the topics and speakers for these dates.
May 18- Boston TRACON. Airspace can be confusing; don't let it get the best of you. Boston TRACON Air Traffic Control Specialist Bob Adelizzi will discuss how to conduct safe and efficient flight operations in different classes of airspace. Be confident and competent while using ATC services and flying in controlled airspace
Bob has been a controller at Boston TRACON for twenty five years and affiliated with the FAA safety program for over twenty. He developed the popular "Evening with ATC" series that were the highest attended safety programs in New England.

You can register for the seminars where I have provided links. These are part of the FAA's Wings Pilot Proficiency Program.
All seminars are from 6 to 8pm at Monadnock Aviation in the Keene airport's main terminal building. Light refreshments will be provided by Monadnock Aviation. |

Expiration Dates
Remember that the current Terminal Procedures, Enroute Charts, and Airport Facility Directory expire on February 11th. We will have the new ones available early next week. |
|
We are thinking of facilitating an IMC Club. Still working on details, but I am looking for some feedback. The purpose would be to help pilots achieve and maintain instrument flying proficiency. It would probably meet once a month. We'll provide a CFII; you provide the thirst for knowledge. Please send me an email or call if you have an interest in this. |
February 6 and 20- Barbeques at Monadnock Aviation. Noon.
February 20- EAA Chapter 1314 meets the third Saturday of every month at 10:00am at Monadnock Aviation. New members are welcome.
February 16/May 18 - Monadnock Aviation Safety Seminars

I have a pair of eye glasses in a silver case at the FBO. They were left behind after last week's safety seminar.
Thank you to all of our customers. We are grateful for each of you. Have a terrific week!
