The Return of a Warrior
Very exciting news this week! Our Piper Warrior is back up and in action. We are breaking in the new 160hp engine now and will have it on the line to rent by month's end. The Warrior has a zero time since major overhaul engine, a newly overhauled propeller, and brand new interior. New radio is on the way also. It looks fresh, performs beautifully, and is ready for the sky. |

Maintenance and Annual Inspections
Monadnock Aviation employs two full-time A&P mechanics. Our maintenance hangar is staffed from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday. We can accommodate drop in service for light maintenance or schedule you in for larger jobs.
We offer timely and thorough work, a reasonable shop rate, and we pride ourselves in treating each customer the way we want to be treated. Our mission is to build long term relationships with our maintenance customers-- one that is founded in quality work and reliability.
We are currently booking annual inspections for February, March, and April. Contact us to determine if we can offer you pick up and drop off service. |
Safety Seminars
January 26 - John Wood, from the Portland FSDO and FAA Safety Team Program Manager, will discuss Non-towered Airport Operations. Operating on and around nontowered airports requires planning, awareness, airmanship, and communication. Millions of safe operations in all types of aircraft are conducted at nontowered airports in a variety of weather conditions. The process works because pilots put safety first and use recommended procedures. Are you using these procedures? Attend this seminar and refresh your skills; become a safer pilot!
February 16 - Are you Covered? Doug Tibbs, from NationAir, will deliver a lively presentation on various aviation insurance issues. They will include tips on how aircraft owners can lower their renewal premiums, fact and fiction regarding renter's insurance, and how an FBO's insurance covers you and how it does not. We will also save time to answer your specific questions. I promise that Doug will NOT try to sell you insurance! His goal is to unravel the complexities of an important and ubiquitous aviation product.
Doug is a fantastic speaker. He is a former corporate pilot and has been an aviation insurance broker for 8 years. Doug runs the largest aviation insurance office in the northeast for one of the largest aviation insurance specialists in the country. He is also a CFI/CFII.

| Ground School Commencing January 23rd
Monadnock Aviation's Private Pilot Ground School begins next Saturday (January 23) at Keene State College.
This course is primarily designed to help student pilots pass their written exam, but it is not just about taking a test. This course is about teaching you to think like an aviator, not just memorize answers. Private pilots are welcome and will improve their skills with this refresher training.
This is a three credit course at Keene State College. The classes will be held on Saturday mornings at the college from 9am to 12pm. Please contact Rick or myself if you have any questions.
