MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2012 LIFE'S WHEELImagine life being like a wheel.
In our hurriedness, business ambition, worry, or anxiety, we attempt to live at the outside of a wheel that seems to move faster and cover more ground as we trust in our giftedness rather than our godliness. This is pride. However, Christ is at the hub of the wheel, drawing each of us to true life in Him.
Each of us wants significance, something that is only found in love so unmerited that it's called grace. Each of us desires contentment. We want our worlds held together. Each of us pursues control, ever increasing the reach of our respective wills. Each of us longs for security, desiring something, anything, to be true all the time. The problem is that we search for them at the outside of the wheel, rather than at the hub.
Christ is the answer to our search.
Christ is the grace of God (John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 8:9). Christ is the peace of God (Ephesians 2:14). Christ is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:24). Christ is the truth of God (John 14:6). When we humble our hearts to Christ, He brings grace, peace, power, and truth to our lives.
Today, humble your heart to Christ. Turn from the outside of the wheel and discover true life at the hub in Him.
