MONDAY, JULY 16, 2012 WHAT'S YOUR TARGET OF SUCCESS?What's your target of success? For many of us, it's money. We frequently find ourselves working so hard for it that we miss out on our relationships with family, friends, and coworkers.
Placing profit ahead of people is outside God's design for our lives. It's not the money that's evil; rather, it's the desires of our hearts that can be.
Solomon philosophized, "Of what use is money in the hand of a fool, since he has no desire to get wisdom?" (Proverbs 17:16). Money apart from wisdom will never satisfy.
Changing our target of success from money to wisdom unlocks the door to restoration and brings us closer to authenticity, reflecting the design of the Designer.
Today, begin a plan to search for wisdom in every encounter. Begin by reading a chapter a day in Proverbs that corresponds with the date of the month. You will read through Proverbs' 31 chapters twelve times over the next year. Everyday select a verse to apply to your calendar. Learn how to connect God's heart with street smarts in all your circumstances.
