TRUST

Each U.S. dollar reads, "IN GOD WE TRUST."

A multi-billionaire gave a billion of those dollars to one of his favorite causes. Afterward, he was interviewed by a national television network's morning news anchor who insightfully asked him about financial security. He replied, "I wake up every morning afraid that I'm going to lose it all."

We can never find financial security by trusting in money.

We were created by God to trust in Him; though, sometimes we trust in the wrong object -- that which is temporary, rather than that which is eternal. We trust in the gifts rather than the Giver. Jesus summed it up as having "little faith" (Matthew 6:30). Faith can be defined as an acronym: Forsaking All I Trust Him.

Solomon, the pinnacle of wisdom, said that humility toward God was the ticket to the doorway of security (Proverbs 14:26). This humility trusts God's will in our tasks and our relationships.

Today, trust the Giver and not the gifts. You will experience that wisdom is more valuable than anything you can desire (Proverbs 8:11).
