It is time once again to pull out the red, white and blue, decorate the cart, attach cowbells and edelweiss bandanas to our dog's Alpen Schatz collars and line-up for the 7th annual "Alpen Schatz" entry in Telluride's old-fashioned 4th of July parade! We have had participants from as far as Flagstaff, Arizona and Colorado Springs drive up to participate over the years and we have lots of fun.
Should your dog be an Alpen Schatzi of any breed, color, design or sort OR should YOU be an Alpen Schatzi with your boiled wool Alpine Hat, Dirndl or Lederhosen, we would love to have you march with us.
We will meet at the Alpen Schatz Boutique, 100 W Colorado Ave between 9-9:30 on Monday, July 4th before we proceed to the official line-up in the parade. Valentino will be taking over Smokie Bear's job to pull the milk wagon, in which we invite smaller dogs to ride.
If you live too far to participate, please send us pictures of your Alpen Schatz pup dressed up in 4th of July gear. you will be with us in spirit, I am sure :)
