ALPEN SCHATZ participated with a record number of participants this year in Telluride, Colorado's old fashioned 4th of July Parade. We had over 16 dogs all dressed up in Alpen Schatz collars and scarves, as well as kids and grown-ups donning their Alpine "Tracht" (traditional German Alpine wear)- from Alpine Boiled Wool Hats to classic Dirndl's and Lederhosen.
Smokie Bear, wearing his classic Swiss Dog Collar and festive Cow Bell, pulled a Radio Flyer wagon with two very small and well trained dog passengers, whilst all of the other dogs and their owners marched waiving and smiling along-side. Click HERE to view.

Alpen Schatz will be hosting a Doggie Social at our store in Telluride, Colorado, between 2 and 6pm on Friday, September 3, 2010.
The Social will feature Jeff Bateman, a RAW food specialist, who will be with us to talk about the benefits of the RAW food diet and RAW treats for your dogs and cats. FREE samples will be given to all dogs attending along with special offers on food orders as well as collars and leashes purchased during the event. Hope you can make it! |

Good afternoon, Mary Dawn,
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed meeting you at your lovely shop in Telluride. Fiona loved the collars and the duck treats were a huge hit!
I am attaching some photos of her. She is a delightful dog and such a joy to our family. The first photo was taken when she was about 6 months old. The second photo is a "graduation" picture after she completed obedience training. The graduation cap was made by her instructor. Am I crazy about her or what?
Thanks for your warm welcome and the love and enthusiasm you have for these special creatures in our lives. I hope to visit your store again next time we visit.
