Joe Gold's brewing career began with Young's Brewing Company in London, England. 1986- Joe helped launch Young's product line in the USA. Joe then became the head brewmaster and sales manager at Wharf Rat/Oliver's Ales in Baltimaore, Maryland. Joe is currently the Mid-Atlantic Area Sales Manager for Victory Brewing Company.

Ron Fischer is the son of German immigrants whose taste has grown from the traditional pilsner to a love of real ale. In the early 90's Ron was part of the first air freighting of proper English real ale from the likes of Fuller's, Young's, McMullen's and Bateman's. Once Ron was hired by B. United he began bringing real ale from the UK to the States. Over the years, B. United has honed in on just about a dozen suppliers in the UK, Denmark and Switzerland. Their customer base is only about 4 dozen bars/restaurants that have demonstrated proficiency in the care of real ale and a commitment to customer education about the joys, intricacies and quirks of real ale.
