Dave Hoffmann and Jocelyn Cambier of J. Cambier Imports will be dining with you to discuss the beers and answer any questions you might have.
Climax Brewing Company
Born from the dream of a homebrewing fanatic, Climax Brewing Company brewed its first beer, an Extra
Special Bitter (ESB), on February 27, 1996. After two years of diligence and hard work, Dave Hoffmann,
joined by his dad, Kurt Hoffmann (German Family), finally saw their dreams become reality.
Dave previously owned “The Brewmeister”, a homebrew-supply store located in Cranford, NJ.
Dave’s love of beer, motorcycles, and more beer and Kurt’s attraction for making moest (a German hard
cider), as well as his love of traveling to Oktoberfests all over the world, made them an ideal pair for a joint
venture in a microbrewery.

Brasseurs Illimités
This brewery opened its doors very recently, although its Master Brewer, Mr. René Huard, has been brewing
for years, especially under the Bieropholie labels. He finally found the financing he wanted from his partner
and very good friend Simon, owner of several restaurants in Montreal. This set up gives R. Huard the total
freedom of creation and control over his own line of products, SIMPLE MALT, as well as other beers he
brews on demand for specific clients. J. Cambier Imports, Inc. has been in contact with R. Huard for quite
some time, and finally, the R. Huard set up is complete and ready to produce some of the most exciting and
consistent Quebec beers Jocelyn Cambier has tasted.
