Crestwood is happy to announce the start of our all new AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM beginning this Fall for students in Kindergarten thru Fifth Grade.  We have always felt that Crestwood provided the perfect after school setting. In providing both summer camp and private school (pre-school, elementary school and middle school) for over 57 years, we have built a reputation as the leaders in both recreation and education.  Crestwood offers the added benefit of knowing that your child is in the most safe and secure facility with the highest level of supervision and care. 

 

Crestwood has teamed up with Nikola Hubnerova, who has been running her own successful After School Sports and Fitness Program for many local children.  In addition to Nikola, the program will be staffed by many of our Crestwood summer and school staff in order to provide a balanced program to meet the needs of all children.   Each afternoon, parents and children can expect some time spent in active recreational and sports activities to promote health, fitness and skill development, some time to work on homework with the help of teachers, and based on interest some time in various Arts activities. Snacks will be included.

In addition to the core program which will be varied from day to day, we will offer special optional programs that parents can sign their children up for and that will take place during the after school time at Crestwood and may change seasonally.  These may include Private Tennis Lessons, Karate, Dance, Music Lessons, Chess Instruction, Movie Making and more.  Some of these Optional Programs will require an additional fee.  We ask that with your enrollment form you let us know your child's interests so we can best accommodate him/her into some of these specialty programs.

The program will run daily from the end of the school day, which will vary by school (approximately 3:45 PM) until 6:30 PM.  Parent pick-up is required at the end of the day.  We are currently in talks with the Syosset/Woodbury and Half Hollow Hills School Districts to try and work out transportation from select elementary schools to Crestwood each day.  For other locations, transportation may be available by request. An additional transportation fee may be required.
