Dear Friends and Crestwood Families,

There is an old saying that "nothing lasts forever."  Crestwood has and will continue to defy this saying. Over the last 56 years the Schnittman Family has always given you assurances that you can count on Crestwood being there as an important part of your child's educational and recreational needs as long as you want it to be.  This is certain to be the case for years to come!  As of today a change has taken place that should only affect me and my family.  Jessica and Mark Hemmerdinger, Crestwood's Director for the past 12 years and Mark and Meryl Transport, owners of a resident camp (Camp Taconic), have purchased Crestwood with the intention of making it better than ever.

I will be present this summer as an Administrator and future consultant to make sure that Crestwood will continue to maintain its reputation among the premier camps and schools in the country.  My daughter, Brooke Schnittman will continue as Swim Director at Crestwood.  The Crestwood staff led by Directors Mark H., Jeff and Stephanie that you have grown to know and admire will all stay intact.

The decision to sell was a very difficult and gut -wrenching one, but necessary to keep Crestwood on top for years to come since the next generation of Schnittmans have chosen other career paths.

It has been most fulfilling over the years making a difference in the lives of so many children and staff.

I will be available tomorrow on Clothing Day and throughout the summer to discuss this further with anyone that feels the need to.

Mark H. and Mark T. will be communicating with you in the next few weeks and sharing some of the new exciting ideas that they have beyond this summer.

Hope you are excited about the great summer ahead for your child!  See you tomorrow!

Bruce
