Dear Crestwood Families, 

    

We have found a new and improved way to communicate with you quickly about important summer information.  The new system is an automated text message system.

 

For those families who have been at Crestwood before, we will no longer be using the automated phone calling system from previous summers.  The new text message system has many advantages. There will be less waiting for a call and no more missed calls.  You will be able to sign up for various message groups including camp group and bus.  This will allow us to send out targeted messages. Information will be sent directly to your cell phone as a text message or you can choose to receive our message via e-mail.  Crestwood School Families must sign up separately for the Summer Texting System.

 

Instructions

To sign up:

1.      Go directly to the sign up page by clicking here: Text Sign-up Page 

2.      Follow the instructions to select either texts (preferred) or e-mail messages (or you can choose both). 

3.      For now, please select at least one message group from Section 1 (Groups). You can select multiple message groups.  Please do this by June 15th so you will begin receiving messages.

4.      Once you receive your bus assignment (which will occur between June 20th and June 24th), please go back to the sign-up page again by going to www.crestwoodcountryday.com and clicking the "Forms for Parents" page under the "Summer" heading.  Find and Click the "Text Message" link at the bottom of the list of forms.  Once again select all the message groups that apply for your child/ren. 

5.      If you need help, please call our office and a member of our staff will walk you through the sign up process.

 

We will begin using the new texting system approximately June 15th so please sign up now.   In order to receive important text notifications from Crestwood, you are required to sign up.  All parents and/or guardians should sign-up. 

                   

We understand that some of you may not want frequent notifications from Crestwood during the summer season and we want to assure
you that we will use this system only when necessary. For general information about Crestwood, our programs, events and offerings, we will continue to send that information to you via e-mail or regular mail.  If you have not been receiving our e-mails, please contact our office.
Who Will Be The Next Crestwood Idol?

We are happy to announce the start of a new and exciting club for children entering 3rd-6th grade.  Ramona Machson,a professional singer, vocal coach and music therapist will be on staff this summer rungroup talent showning a brand new club we call "Crestwood Idol"

Crestwood Idol will be a non-competitive "pull-out" club (children will leave their group and their regular schedule for one or two periods per week).  Children who sign up will train and receive instruction for an end of the summer vocal performance - either as a soloist or part of a small ensemble (based on each child's preference and on the instructor's recommendation).  The emphasis will be on learning proper vocal technique and connecting emotionally to a song within a fun and supportive environment.

If your daughter or son is interested in this club opportunity, please contact our office either by phone or e-mail.  A sign-up form will be available soon which will allow you to share with us your child's previous performance experience (beginners are welcome), musical tastes, and other performance preferences.  Please note: the performance will be during the final week of our summer and children need to attend a minimum of 6 weeks (or Any 30 Days) and during the final week to participate in the club.
