Astrological Readings

Aquarian Experience - 11/11/11
Yogi Bhajan gave us five Yogic Sutras to live by in the Aquarian Age. A sutra is a 'knot.' It is a complex spiritual concept reduced to one sentence and later expanded upon by a spiritual teacher.
1. Recognize that the other person is you.
2. When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.
3. Vibrate the Cosmos; the Cosmos shall clear the path.
4. There is a way through every block.
5. Understand through compassion or you will misunderstand the times.
Astrologers have determined that every two thousand years, time moves us backward through the astrological signs, into a new age. In simple language this means that we are completing the age of Pisces and moving into the Age of Aquarius. Each age has it's own theme, its own axiom.
You are invited to share this pivotal day at Hacienda de Guru Ram Das, the Mother Ashram, for the "Aquarian Experience" Event. Those who can't attend in person can tune in LIVE on the 3HO Kundalini Yoga TV Channel!
The celebration includes Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, specific meditations Yogi Bhajan taught for this time, Grand Finale for the 1000 Day Sadhana for the Aquarian Age, Bhangara Dancing, and a 3HO Music Jam. Siri Sadhana Singh and Sat Kirtan Kaur
 Siri Sadhana Singh grew up in California. He first did Kundalini Yoga in college, and was immediately in love with it. It wasn't long till Siri Sadhana was a frequent visitor at the Guru Ram Das Ashram. For the past four years, he has served as a dedicated Sevadar to the Ashram. Sat Kirtan Kaur first learned about Kundalini Yoga working with The Bliss Bar. She quickly discovered that there was more to the technology than the yoga, there was a stronger vibration calling to her. Sat Kirtan has also served as a regular Sevadar at the Guru Ram Das Ashram. Siri Sadhana & Sat Kirtan met while working for the Bliss Bar. They have been married almost two years. They moved to Espanola to go to school and to be close to this Sangat. They are delighted to make new friends! Say hello to them when you see them!

Computer Corner
How to Find Stuff on Your Computer

You can't believe how many times I hear someone say, "I downloaded that program, but I don't know where it is." Or "I saved that document, but now I can't find it." Well this month I'm going to talk about local searching. Not searching the Internet with Google, but finding stuff on your own computer. (and at the end of this column I'll tip you off to a couple of cool new tools!)
There are two great ways to find things on your own computer. First, learn how to use Windows built-in search tools (which have gotten better and better with each new version of Windows) or, second, install a local search tool such as Google Desktop (Google Search for your personal computer) or Copernic. I use both Windows built-in search and also Google Desktop. I really love Google Desktop. It is no longer available for download from Google, however you can download it here or here. With it installed, you just tap the Ctrl key twice and up pops a Google search box that searches your own computer.
Getting the most from Windows Search
Here's how even the most experienced Windows users get turned off by Windows 7's search: Click the Win7 Start orb, type something into the Search box, and wait while Windows comes back with results... first in bushels, then in barrels, and finally an avalanche!
"Whooooa!" (or something slightly less printable) they say, "I only wanted to find files with this text in the filename .... Windows 7 is useless; they've even included spam messages in here."

Yogi Bhajan, Karma can be Disarming

We were sitting in the living room at the ranch watching T.V. in October of 1992. The flight back from L.A. was tiring as the Siri Singh Sahib had dealt with many issues right before leaving California. After the hour and a half ride home from the Albuquerque airport, he went directly into the ranch living room and requested a cold drink of Recharge, from one of his secretaries. He was relaxing in his massage turned on high.
The Master loved T.V. and so did I. So we watched a lot of T.V. together. He went through cycles. For quite a while PBS and other like educational channels were top priority. Our Master was very well informed. He kept abreast of world events as well as what was happening locally. He was on top of it. The next phase in the cycle was old movies. He loved them also. They gave him a chance to understand the history of America and Americans. And, they were entertaining as well.
Anyway, as we watched T.V. on this evening, something which was said prompted him to respond. These were fun times, He would respond to the T.V. and I'd challenge myself to figure out what he was saying and why the T.V. prompted his response. These times were a glimpse into his current view of the world and of himself and afforded me an opportunity to figure it out and "match up."
