2010 NUMEROLOGY FORECAST

The calendar year of 2010 shifts the psyche of humanity into a proactive rhythm of accomplishment and regeneration. We have just come through a catharsis of cleansing, completion and clearing of all that cannot be maintained in the Aquarian Age. 2009 was the cosmic rotor-rooter of this process. With the initiative spirit of number 10 we now have the wind in our sails to move forward in new directions. Ten represents enthusiasm, vigor, and a willingness to fight for what is right. Emotionally it is the dynamic of "All or Nothing," so pacing yourself is important or you may feel overwhelmed by the increasing pressure of the times. You get to pick your own theme song this year, and the two top choices are either the Queen/David Bowie rock n' roll duet "Under Pressure" , or your other option to sing along with is "Hero" by Mariah Carey. Ten is the archetype of the hero or warrior, so choose your battles wisely as some people will be in a fighting mood. This is where pulling in the overall number of the year can save the day. Three (2+0+1+0=3) represents creativity and nurturing, as well as an aspect of the thinking process called the "Positive Mind." If there was a motto for the Positive Mind it would be, "There are no problems, only solutions." Use your creativity in cooperation with others as 3 additionally is social energy. We all need each other, and as Yogi Bhajan has said of this transition period, "Don't isolate and insulate yourself."

 11,000 Repetitions of Guru Ram Das' Shabd: Kundalini Surjhee
May 10-15, 2010
Offered for the first time by the Espanola "Mother Ashram" and facilitated by Jugat Guru Singh of the Cherdi Kala (and formally trained by the Master of Sat Nam Rasayan, Guru Dev Singh). A special invite is extended to those who would like to join in 11,000 repetitions of Guru Ram Das' shabad, Kundalini Surjhee. It will take 62 hours (5 days) to complete the meditation. This shabad helps one to distinguish what is real and what is maya. This experience will give you the direct impact of the Shabd Guru (a spiritual teacher).

I like being a part of this community and find value in it because: of the abundance of familiar and friendly faces. After living here for
almost 15 years I have made countless friends, aunties and connections with great people. There is also a very cool group of other young parents with young children who help make it so much more fun to raise children in this sangat. I absolutely love our beautiful and cozy
Gurdwara with the sweetest Gurbani Kirtan playing every Sunday. But
the most impactful benefit I have received from this community is the
role it played in the healing and recovery process for my family after
being attacked and Sahaj being stabbed. The healing energy created was unbelievably strong and limitless. During this situation, I couldn't
have thought of any other help I would want for my family than for
hundreds of people calling on the healing powers of Guru Ram Das, Lord of Miracles. The support we received from our Hacienda de Guru Ram Das sangat and the world-wide sangat was priceless. This sangat has been a true blessing in my life.
Something you may not know about me:
I am an artist at heart. My current artistic passion is pottery. I love working with clay and creating functional and decorative bowls, vases, lamps, teapots, mugs, sculptures, and more. Occasionally I sell my work but have most of it spread around my house if you ever want to see it. Over the last few years I have shown many pieces in shows and have received first place awards at the Santa Fe County Fair and the Northern NM College Student Art Show. I have also been one of the featured artists in the Rio Grande Sun Art Section. I went to an Arts Magnet high school in Houston but then studied mostly business and some printmaking in college. I had to put off doing my artwork for years while I worked and started a family until just a few years ago. I am so happy I got back into it and wish I could do my pottery all day every day.

This Month's Featured Unsung Hero!
Thank you for your selfless service!
We would like to honor Tera Kaur as our unsung hero as we head into the new year. Last October, Tera Kaur and her devoted team of friends, took us through an amazing 11-day celebration of Guru Ram Das' Birthday. Tera has been designing the decorations for the Gurdwara and helping to create the high standards we see and feel during the this birthday celebration for many years. It was eight years ago during Guru Ram Das' birthday celebrations, the Siri Singh Sahib said to her, "This is the season to give all of your problems to Guru Ram Das and walk away knowing they will be taken care of."
This is something that Tera Kaur thinks about executing all year. She helps to hold an incredible space that serves us so deeply on many different levels.
So here is a very warm thank you to Tera Kaur, the families that host the chanting, and the people that come together to help manifest this beautiful, healing celebration. | |

Hidden Win7 tools can save you time and trouble

Some of Windows 7's best new features aren't so easy to find.
These include a problem recorder to aid tech support, a list of the programs affected by a System Restore, more precise power adjustments for notebooks and netbooks, and keyboard shortcuts that open system resources.
Somehow, the new tools have been lost in all the Windows 7 hype. That's a shame, because they can increase your productivity tremendously. Unfortunately, finding them can be a bit difficult. Here's a quick review of my favorite, little-known Win7 features.
Win7's troubleshooter is a boon to tech support
One of Win7's handiest new tools is the Problem Steps Recorder, a sort of help-desk aid. When something goes haywire with your PC, tech-support staff will usually ask you to reproduce the specific sequence of actions that led to the problem. But trying to explain what happened - and when it happened - can be difficult.

Today I am humbled and honored to have received the loving communication you sent to me with the signatures of so many beautiful souls in our Espanola Sangat. Reading your words was deeply moving to me, and it brought tears to my eyes to feel the outpouring of your love and blessings. I am ever grateful to God and Guru for the grace and protection we are receiving from the infinite, and yet it is the love we share with each other that brings us the strength of the divine and the courage and perseverance that lives in us all. The truth will ever prevail, as we walk and serve together the house of Guru Ram Das, we shall be protected. Our hearts are woven together in the love of that service to Guru's mission, and the strength of that love and commitment cannot be broken. May Guru Ram Das ever guide and protect each one forever and always,
